It was a pleasure working with Spalding County’s spring semester internship program in 2024. Spalding County Public Works gave me the opportunity to apply my graphic design skills to real-life projects during my internship. Through my work on various design tasks, including Web design and brochures, I improved my skills in project management and social media analysis. Further, I gained an understanding of government working procedures and how visual communication plays a crucial role in effective communication.
The supervisor at my workplace provided me with the opportunity to contribute to various marketing projects. These included the annual report project timeline and marketing monthly report. Additionally, I honed my graphic design skills and assisted with social media analysis, further enhancing my understanding of effective communication strategies in the digital age. In general, I have enjoyed my time at Spalding County incredibly, and I have found it tremendously rewarding.

Highlights
- Assisting with the layout and design of the annual report. Our goal was to create a cohesive and professional look using consistent and visually appealing typography and color schemes throughout the entire report.

Website Redesigning – Spalding County Website
Highlights
- I participated in the beginning stage of Spalding County’s website redesign process. Since the website contained a variety of departments and units, it was necessary to find an effective way of navigating through all of the sections. The goal is to have a clean, easy-to-navigate website that makes finding information easier for users.

Magazine Ads Design
Highlights
- Two advertisements were designed for local magazines. One is an A5-size branding ad highlighting Spalding County’s Work, Play, and Life features. The second advertisement features the aquatic center’s upcoming opening and the facilities provided, such as a swimming sports center and recreational facility.

- Our team designed the Playground In-person Survey and Youth Spring Fishing Derby posters for two spring events in 2024. In addition to the date, time, and location of the event, the posters include contact information and details. The posters are vibrant and appealing, designed to attract attendees to the event.

Aquatic Center Opening -Invitation Card Design
Highlights
- The Spalding County Aquatic Center is a major project planned to be open in Griffin by the summer of 2024. To ensure that the project can be completed on time, the task force has been in the process of ensuring that all the necessary resources have been secured. As part of the launch of the opening, they would like to conduct a private campaign called “Test Water”. It has yet to be determined what the campaign will accomplish and when it will be launched. The campaign is in its early stages, but it is expected to be up and running soon.

- Updated: A grant for the aquarium center was opened in June 2024.
Organizers have chosen my logo design. This is a significant honor for me, as it highlights the quality and appeal of my design work.
